Welcome to Swimming World’s Set of the Week sponsored by Commit Swimming.com! This week’s set is a sprint set that practices take out and back half speed. Each round alternates between front half and back half focus, switching things up to keep swimmers engaged and thinking about holding onto the speed in all parts of their race as they fatigue.

6 Rounds:

    4 x 75 desc 1-4 (odd rds: swim, even rds: kick)
    100 as 25 drill/75 swim
    6 x 25 (odd rds: fast breakout/fast 25 by 25, even rds: build to fast finish/fast 25 by 25)
    1 x 50 (odd rds: dive 35 @ take out speed, even rds: 50 @ bring back speed)
