Clean Sweep for Cascade at Age Group Championships

WINNIPEG, Canada, July 29. THE Age Group Championships in Winnipeg concluded with a clean sweep by Calgary's Cascade swim club for all three titles up for grabs.

Cascade was awarded with the boys, girls and overall championships titles, a first for the club.

"It was a goal of Cascade to repeat as overall team champions so we were quite happy to lay out that path for the team and then be able to follow through," said head coach Dave Johnson.

"For us one of the most satisfying aspects of the championships was the balance our program demonstrated by being able to not only win the boy's and overall banner but also the girls banner as well. It meant extra work for the kids and the win is a testament to them and the hard work that they put into getting themselves ready for the meet."

Some of Johnson's squad will be in Victoria this week to compete at the Senior National Championships.
