Class of 2012 Swimming World Five Star Arthur Frayler Chooses College

PHOENIX, Arizona, August 2. SWIMMING World five-star recruit Arthur Frayler has made his collegiate decision as a member of the Class of 2012.

Frayler, who maintains his profile in the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings, is a distance prospect who would have already scored in the B final of the 1650-yard freestyle at the 2011 NCAA Division I Championships. Frayler will be calling the University of Florida home.

"I knew it was the school I wanted to go to," Frayler told Swimming World. "I had talked to Coach [Gregg] Troy and to Coach [Anthony] Nesty several times before July 1 and knew Coach Troy a little from Pan Pacs and really enjoyed being coached by him. I know I will enjoy the rest of the Gator staff when I'm there as well as every moment of it.

"On a training aspect, the program is just what I need, an old school yet more modified version of just working until you can't anymore," Frayler continued. "Coming from [Coach Dick] Shoulberg and [Coach Chris] Lear and other coaches at Germantown, I am used to a lot of training, more than a lot of the people I know. When I talked to Florida and the people that go there, they all can agree the training is tough. Shoulberg supported it 100 percent and I trust that man more than anybody. It made my decision pretty easy honestly, a program that fits me with coaches I get along with and enjoy being around, great teammates, and a state I always wished I could live in."

Frayler swims for Germantown Academy, and already has a strong time in the 1650-yard free with a 15:00.57. He also has a pair of senior national cuts in the 400m free 3:56.40, and 1500m free 15:07.37.
