Eastern Michigan University has added Christopher O’Shea to the Class of 2021. O’Shea swims for Three Village Swim Club in New York. The Rocky Point High School senior was a 2016 Winter National qualifier in the 100 backstroke.  In 2015 and 2016 he was an All State Swimmer, in addition to his 2015 and 2016 All County honors. O’Shea is a member of the National Honor Society as well.

His best times are:

  • 100 Back 49.27
  • 200 Back 1:48.75
  • 100 Fly 49.69
  • 200 Free 1:40.86

O’Shea shared,

“I chose to attend EMU and to swim for the Eagles because the moment I got there I felt like I belonged. Head Coach Peter Lynn and his coaching staff along with the team made me feel like I was home. I am very excited to continue my swimming journey with such a talented group of swimmers”

The Eagles won the 2016 MAC championship where O’Shea would have been a point scorer. At last year’s championship he would have finished seventh in the 100 backstroke, an event Eastern Michigan had six swimmers score in. He would also be a 200 backstroke and 100 butterfly B finalist.
