China’s Qin Kai Reigns Over Men’s Three-Meter Diving at Worlds

MELBOURNE, Australia, March 23. CHINA's Qin Kai dominated the men's three-meter competition at the FINA World Championships in Melbourne, Australia to grab gold.

Qin finished the night with 545.35 points, to beat Canada's Alexandre Despatie by 26.70 points.

After posting 80s in the first two rounds, Qin went 90+ the rest of the way finishing with a 99.75 from a reverse 2.5 somersaults with 1.5 twists in the pike position.

Despatie picked up silver with 518.65 points, while Russia's Dmitry Sautin took home bronze with 517.10 points.

Troy Dumais (487.60) took seventh for the United States' best performance.
