China Very Aware of Doping Concerns

SHAOXING, China, March 30. WITH preliminary heats underway at the Chinese Olympic Trials this week, Chinese administrators and swimmers are very aware of doping concerns regarding the country.

In an article by Chinaview, members of the Chinese contingent have gone on record regarding China's plans to remain a clean country after issues came to the forefront regarding doping in the 90s.

The article states that "Liu Peng, head of the General Administration of Sport of China, warned that Chinese sports team would suffer a catastrophic blow if a single Chinese athlete was test positive at the Beijing Olympics."

Additionally, Wu Peng is quoted as saying, "All swimmers must be clean and honest at the Beijing Games. Only through hard training and confidence can we achieve our best in the Beijing pool."
