China Keeps Rolling During Russian Stop of FINA Diving Grand Prix

LAUSANNE, Switzerland, February 28. YOUNG Chinese divers occupied the majority of the podiums yet again in the second stage of the FINA Diving Grand Prix 2011, taking place in Penza (RUS) from February 25-27. Two titles escaped Chinese hands in favour of Russia; the men's 3m springboard synchro won by the pair Eugeny Kuznetsov/Ilya Zakharov and the women's 10m platform captured by Natalia Goncharova.

The Chinese victories went to Xinhua Zhang (men's 3m springboard), Yanquan Zhang (men's 10m platform individual and synchro with Yuan Cao), Han Wang (women's 3m springboard and the same synchro event with Quilin Zheng) and Huixia Liu pairing with Jiaming Zhu in the 10m platform synchro.

Other countries to win a medal in Penza included Australia, Canada, Great Britain and Mexico.
