Charlie Kulp Selects Duke, Will Arrive in Fall 2025

NEW COMMIT: Chatham, New Jersey native and Junior National qualifier Charlie Kulp has handed a verbal commitment to Duke University and will arrive on campus in Fall 2025.

He told Swimming World:

“I’m excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at Duke University. I want to thank my family, coaches, teammates and friends for their support throughout this process. I would also like to thank the Duke coaching staff for the incredible opportunity. Go Blue Devils!”

Kulp does his club swimming with Life Time Metro and capped off the summer long course season with five best times at Richmond Futures, where he finished 17th in the 200m free. He took seventh in the 200 fly and eighth in the 200 free at Ithaca Sectionals back in March.

His best times include:

  • 100 free – 46.37
  • 200 free – 1:40.30
  • 100 fly – 49.58
  • 200 fly – 1:50.00

Currently a junior at Chatham High School, Kulp placed seventh in the 100 fly and eighth in the 200 free at the 2023 New Jersey Meet of Champions. He finished 11th in the 200 free during his freshman season.
