GENEVA, New York, January 25. THE William Smith swimming and diving team gave its seniors a proper send-off, defeating visiting Cazenoiva 91-79 in the Herons final home meet of the season. William Smith won the first five events of the meet and seven of 13 overall.
Sophomore Charlotte Scott (Columbia/Maplewood, N.J.) led the Herons with two individual victories. She captured the 200-yard individual medley in 2 minutes, 25.93 seconds and the 500 freestyle in 5:38.76. Scott also swam a leg on the victorious 400 medley relay team with first-year Chelsea Chambers (Potsdam/Potsdam, N.Y.), sophomore Laura Patterson (Annapolis/Annapolis, Md.), and sophomore Rachel Johnson (Emma Willard School/Clifton Park, N.Y.).
