Cascade Swim Club has hired David Orr as its new Executive Director and Head Coach (EDHC).

David Orr comes to Cascade Swim Club most recently as Head Coach of Sunkist Swim Team in the JacksonMetro area of Mississippi, where he has coached since 2010 and served on his LSC board. Named Age Group Coach of the Year by Mississippi Swimming in 2014, David has coached swimmers from community to national levels, and brought his team from 7th place to LSC champions in a four-year span, winning seven LSC titles in a row.

“Cascade conducted a national search for an EDHC who can guide the team into the future and preserve our community-based program. We are proud to have selected Coach Orr to help us evolve and continue our mission of supporting swimmers at all levels,” shared Cascade Board of Trustees President Peter Williams. “We are very excited about what’s ahead for Cascade as we approach our 60th year.”

Coach Orr is a nationally-recognized leader, guiding his former team to five USA Swimming national #SwimBiz awards including Marketing Club of the Year honors three years in a row for 2015, 2016 and 2017, and is a regular presenter at various USA Swimming and American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) conferences. Coach Orr holds an ASCA Level 5 coaching certification and has participated in national and zone level diversity camps.

“I am thrilled to join the Cascade family and humbled to have been selected for this tremendous opportunity to work with such a strong team of committed swimmers, coaches and parents,” Coach Orr shared. “I’m eager to make a splash and get on deck next week with this amazing group of swimmers and great coaches.”
