NEW COMMIT: Brenna Cetrone, a diver from Orinda, California, has given her verbal commitment to the University of Vermont. Cetrone is a senior at Miramonte High School where her coach is Brianna Nicholson. She does her AAU and USA Diving with Coach Steve Sherman.

In 2016 Cetrone was her High School Team MVP. That came after she finished 13th in the state and won the North Coast Section. As a freshman she was fourth in the section and 19th in the state.

This year the Catamounts have four divers on the roster: juniors Ashley Branagan and Madison Soucy and freshmen Emily Murphy and Haley Tomlinson. Next year that group will grow to five. Cetrone will spend her first three years training with Murphy and Tomlinson.

Cetrone said about her decision,

“I’m super excited to announce my verbal commitment to dive for the University of Vermont! I owe many thanks to my team, family and friends for helping me get here. I feel very lucky to be able to dive and study at UVM. Coach Cournoyer, Coach Seward and the team have been extremely welcoming and I can’t wait to represent green and gold next fall – Go Catamounts!”
