Four student-athletes were honored by the CAA on Wednesday with the fourth weekly swimming and diving awards of the season. William & Mary freshman Devin McNulty was named Men’s Swimmer of the Week, James Madison senior Katie Parker earned Women’s Swimmer of the Week along with Tribe junior Katie Sell, and JMU sophomore Carlyn McNeely won Women’s Diver of the Week honors for the second consecutive week.

MEN’S SWIMMER OF THE WEEK: Devin McNulty • William & Mary
Freshman
 | Herndon, Va.

McNulty helped the Tribe defeat CAA opponent Towson at home over the weekend, 177-85, sweeping both breaststroke events for his first career weekly conference award. The freshman won the 100-yard breaststroke in 57.39 and followed with a first-place time of 2:07.39 in the 200 breast. McNulty also swam a leg on the Tribe’s winning 200-medley relay team that won in 1:31.16. His performance in the 100 breast ranks second among CAA competitors for the event this season while his 200 breast sits in fifth place.

WOMEN’S SWIMMERS OF THE WEEK:

Katie Parker • James Madison
Senior
 | Millersville, Md.

Parker came through for the Dukes in a tough four-team meet versus Pitt, Michigan State, and Miami over the weekend in Pittsburgh, recording a career-best time of 2:05.72 in the 200 fly for second place, as well as a pair of fifth place finishes in the 200 IM and the 200 breast. Parker touched the wall in the 200 IM in 2:08.58 – good for second in the event among conference foes this season – and had a time of 2:22.13 in the 200 breast, which now ranks first in the CAA for the event this year.

Katie Sell • William & Mary
Junior
 | Fredericksburg, Va.

Sell played a large role in the Tribe’s victory over Towson at home on Saturday, anchoring the final leg on the difference-making 400 free relay team that clinched the win for W&M with a first place time of 3:28.47. The junior, who also swam a leg on the Tribe’s winning 200 medley relay squad (1:45.41), placed second individually in the 50 free (24.26) and also won the 100 free in 52.80.

WOMEN’S DIVER OF THE WEEK: Carlyn McNeely • James Madison
Sophomore
 | Surrey, British Columbia, Canada

McNeely’s second straight Diver of the Week award comes after the sophomore scored 219.80 on the 1-meter board (good for seventh out of 18 competitors) and 250.90 on the 3-meter, which placed fifth behind divers from Miami and Pitt. The sophomore’s performance on the 3-meter contributed to the Dukes’ win over Michigan State on the weekend, after she turned in the best finish on the board for the Dukes, just ahead of any Spartan competitors.
