Bumpy Jones at it Again; Betters FINA Masters Short Course World Record

SAINT PETERSBURG, Florida, November 25. AT the Bridge the Bay Short Course Meters Masters meet held in St. Petersburg, Fla., Burwell "Bumpy" Jones bettered another FINA Masters world record.

Swimming for the Sarasota YMCA Sharks Masters, Jones clocked a time of 1:24.23 in the men's 75-79 100 IM. The performance surpassed the 2000 record of 1:24.42 set by Frank Piemme.

Additionally, the men's 200-239 800 free relay of Kevin McCormack, Jerry Dawson, Rick Walker and Mark Drennen posted a time of 8:36.21 to best the USMS record by 20 seconds.
