Bryan Woodward Officially Added to USA Swimming Banned for Life List

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado, April 11. TWO days ago, USA Swimming updated its Banned for Life list to include former Gator Swim Club coach Bryan Woodward.

Woodward was arrested in January on charges related to attempts to solicit a minor as he was picked up as part of a weeklong undercover sting operation that included the Osceola County Sheriff's Office.

Arrest documentation stated that Woodward had planned on meeting a child, and went so far as to promise candy as part of the potential sexual liaison.

Woodward's banned date is listed as March 7, 2012. Members of the banned list are given a 30-day appeal period before being added to the public version of the banned list. Woodward's appeal period is complete, and USA Swimming has now added him to the publicly-available list on its website.

Upon word of his arrest, USA Swimming had originally suspended Woodward provisionally until a full review process could be met before adding him to the public list.
