British Petroleum Exec Bob Dudley Accepts International Swimming Hall of Fame Gold Medallion

FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida, July 7. THE Gold Medallion is one of the most prestigious honors to be given to a former swimmer who has devoted a lifetime of service to their community, and in 2014 the International Swimming Hall of Fame bestowed the award on Bob Dudley.

Dudley started his swimming career as a standout at Hinsdale High School, and pursued a career in the oil industry. Now a top executive at British Petroleum, Dudley’s contributions to the clean-up of the waters in the Gulf Coast during the 2010 oil spill was one of the reasons why he was singled out this year by ISHOF.
