Brazil, Peru, and Argentina Announce Rosters For 2018 South American Championships

The teams for Brazil, Argentina, and Peru have all been announced for the upcoming 2018 South American Championships, according to a story that appeared on the Brazilian website Best Swimming.

The South American Championships are held every other year and will take place from November 8-12 in Trujillo, Peru. While the meet will be two months after the Pan Pacific Championships, the Brazilian roster does not include any athletes who are competing at those Games.

Notably, two major Brazilian sprinters, Cesar Cielo and Bruno Fratus, will not be competing in either event. Cielo is focusing solely on the Short Course World Championships later this winter, while Swimming World reported just two days ago that Fratus will be out of Pan Pacs with a shoulder injury.
