Brad Hering Takes Coaching Position at Aquatica Nelson Vargas, Leaves Grand Canyon University

PHOENIX, Arizona, July 29. GRAND Canyon University men's and women's swimming coach Brad Hering resigned to take a position with Aquatica Nelson Vargas.

Grand Canyon is in the process of hiring a new coach.

Hering will oversee Aquatica Nelson Vargas, which has 12 different locations throughout Mexico. He is slated to become the chief trainer of the entire club. Hering will work with Mexican National Team swimmers as well elite club and youth swimmers. The purpose of his hiring is to try to strengthen the Mexican National team to an elite Olympic and international swim team.

"I want to go there and give them some new energy," Hering said. "They're trying to launch a better elite team for Mexico."
