Bowling Green vs. Ball State

MUNCIE, Indiana – The Ball State Women's swim team was victorious on Saturday afternoon when they defeated the visiting Bowling Green Falcons at the Lewellen Aquatic Center. Ball State won by a score of 193-107 over the visiting Falcons.

Ball State was led by senior Addison Del Rio, freshman Maria Gramelspacher, junior Meghan Patterson, and junior Megan Ploetz who paced the way for the Cardinals with wins in six of the first nine events for the Cardinals. Sophomores Emily Hurst and Sarah Kehe also scored victories in the 200 yard breaststroke and 500 yard freestyle, respectively.

Del Rio and Gramelspacher each had two individual victories while also leading Ball State to a victory in the 200 yard freestyle relay and a second place finish in the 200 yard medley relay.

Freshman Katie Bylsma beat out teammate Michelle Huang by less than a second to score a victory for BSU in the 50 yard freestyle event.

Ball State also scored a victory in the three meter diving when sophomore Lisa Maertin scored a 261.52 to beat out teammate Stephanie Paul, who posted a score of 255.07.
