Boston College Men Down Providence, 129-116

PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island, November 8. FRESH off its win against Dartmouth College, the Boston College men's swimming team traveled to Providence last night, where it defeated the Friars of Providence College, 129-116 at the Taylor Natatorium pool.

The Eagles won an impressive nine of 14 events and were led by senior David Lin who collected two wins in the 50 and 100 SC meter breaststroke. Senior captain Andy Faughnan also swam well as he won the 200 SC meter free and helped anchor the 200 SC meter medley relay.

Seniors Thomas Nececkas, Brian Tichenor, and Matt Northrup also collected wins as the Eagles would win the first seven events to pace them to the victory. Nececkas, Tichenor, and Northrup would take the 50 meter backstroke, 100 meter fly, and 50 meter freestyle respectively.

Juniors Joe Maloy and Craig Lewin also picked up wins for BC.
