Bentley vs. Regis, Western New England

SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts, January 15. EIGHT different Bentley University swimmers captured each of the first eight individual events as the Falcon women's swim team cruised to victories over both Regis College and Western New England College in a triangular meet Wednesday night at the WNEC pool.

Bentley topped Regis, 74-33, and registered a 60-36 win over Western New England to improve to 5-3 on the year.

Amongst the Bentley winners were freshman Molly Murphy (Horseheads, N.Y./Watkins Glen HS) and sophomore Anne Kaduboski (Dedham/Dedham HS). Murphy finished first in the 100 yard breaststroke (1:12.66) and also participated on the Falcons' two winning relay teams, the 200 medley (1:59.72) and the 200 free (1:49.30).

Kaduboski ran her string of individual dual wins to 32 by swimming to victory in both the 100 freestyle (57.66) and the 200 individual medley (2:18.31).

Bentley's other individual winners included seniors Breda O'Connor (Dedham/Ursuline Academy) in the 100 back (1:09.77), Kristen Thuerk (Cheshire, Conn./Cheshire HS) in the 50 butterfly (29.34), Kaitlin Chepeleff (Vernon, Conn./Rockville HS) in the 50 breaststroke (33.87) and Lynne Tutunjian (Shrewsbury/Worcester Academy) in the 100 fly (1:04.86).

Other firsts were posted by sophomore Sarah Temple (Topsham, Maine/Cheverus HS) in the 50 free (27.32) and juniors Erin Koslosky (Washington Depot, Conn./Shepaug Valley HS), in the 200 free (2:08.49), and Kristen Reinckens (Hudson, N.Y./Hudson HS), in the 50 back (31.85).

O'Connor, Thuerk, Reinckens, Tutunjian and Temple also participated on winning relays, in addition to recording individual victories.
