Bella Stefanowicz Sends Verbal to Rowan University With Several Metropolitan Championship A-Final Worthy Times
NEW COMMIT: Rowan University has secured their first verbal commitment for the 2021-22 season and beyond from Cranberry Township, Pa. native Bella Stefanowicz.
She told Swimming World:
“When you find the perfect fit, you just know. Wednesday, September 30th, 2020: A day I will never forget. The day I verbally committed to swim and study at Rowan University! Thank you to all my family, coaches, and friends for the love, training, and support! I am pumped to join this one-of-a-kind team and coaching staff! Go Profs!!”
Stefanowicz trains year-round with Seneca Valley Swim Club and most recently placed sixth in the 100 back and eighth in the 200 IM at the Allegheny Mountain Junior Olympics in March. In summer 2019, she recorded a best time at Rutgers Sectionals before going on to take 11th in the 200m back at the TPIT Junior Olympic Championships.
Her best times include:
- 50 back – 29.40
- 100 back – 1:01.35
- 200 back – 2:08.42
- 200 IM – 2:13.39
- 200 free – 1:57.55
- 500 free – 5:13.82
Also competing for Seneca Valley Senior High School, Stefanowicz is a six-time WPIAL AAA Championship finalist. She finished 17th in the 500 free and 25th in the 200 free as a junior while taking 10th and 14th, respectively, in those events during her sophomore season.
Stefanowicz is a big get for the Profs as she would’ve scored in the A-final of the 200 back, 500 free, 200 IM, and 200 free at the 2020 Metropolitan Championships where Rowan clinched their third-straight team title.
