Camryn Curry, a backstroker out of Midlothian, Va., will move cross-country to the desert next fall and swim for Bob Bowman’s Arizona State Sun Devils.

“I chose Arizona State, not only for its excelling coaching staff, super uplifting team, but for its ability to make students strive in what they love. I am super excited to be apart of the sun devil family, to contribute not only in the pool but in academics as well. I can’t wait for what awaits me in the future! Fork Em’! Go Sun Devils!”

Curry has best times of 54.91 in the 100 back and 1:58.78 in the 200 back, both of which would have scored in bonus finals at the Pac-12 level a season ago. Other strong events for Curry include the 200 IM (2:03.31), 400 IM (4:21.34), 100 free (51.54) and 200 free (1:49.73).

In long course, Curry has a best time of 1:03.84 in the 100 back, which is a U.S. Open qualifying standard, and 2:17.76 in the 200 back. She currently attends Colonial Forge High School, and although she is listed as Unattached, she most recently represented Poseidon Swimming.
