NEW COMMIT: The University of Arkansas has officially begun recruiting for the 2022-23 season, and their first verbal commitment comes from Junior National qualifier Delaney Harrison of Woodstock, Ga.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I am beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my athletic and academic career at the University of Arkansas! I am so grateful for this opportunity and I’d like to thank my coaches, teammates, and family for their endless support. Go Razorbacks! ❤️?”

A talented sprinter, Harrison trains with Chattahoochee Gold Swim Club and most recently competed at the Holiday Invite earlier this month where she achieved five new best times. Last December, she won the 100 free at Georgia Seniors with five additional top-8 finishes.

In Summer 2019, she registered five lifetime bests at Georgia LCM Seniors en route to finaling in the same number of events.

Her best times include:

  • 50 free – 23.63
  • 100 free – 50.99
  • 200 free – 1:50.50
  • 100 back – 57.87
  • 200 back – 2:04.34
  • 100 fly  – 55.68

Currently a junior at Sequoyah High School, Harrison is already a four-time individual Georgia 6A State Championship finalist. She secured gold in the 100 free and silver in the 50 free as a sophomore while finishing second in both of those events during her freshman year.

Harrison will add valuable depth both individually and on relays to the same program that produced recent graduate Anna Hopkin, one of the top sprinters right now. The Razorbacks are also bringing in a talented Class of 2025 under head coach Neil Harper.
