Anton Chupkov, Yulia Efimova Highlight Russia’s World Championships Roster

The Russian Swimming Federation announced their team of 37 swimmers to represent them at the 2019 World Aquatics Championships in Gwangju, South Korea.

The team is highlighted by Anton ChupkovYulia Efimova and Evgeny Rylov, who all won gold medals at the 2017 World Championships in Budapest. Russia won ten medals in Budapest and won three gold medals, coincidentally all on the same night. Chupkov and Efimova won the 200 breast while Rylov won the 200 back.

Aleksandr Krasnykh is also on the team as he was the bronze medal winner in the 200 free in 2017. Kirill Prigoda is looking to improve on his bronze in the 100 breast and Efimova is also looking to medal in all three breaststroke events like she did in Budapest.

The World Championships will begin July 21 in Gwangju, South Korea and will go until July 28.
