Another Run of Swimming World Five Star Recruits Posts College Commitments

PHOENIX, Arizona, November 8. THE past week has been pretty busy in the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings system with several more five stars making their college commitment decisions. Several other recruits also made their pledges heading into early signing day this fall!

Five star Kip Darmody, who maintains his profile in the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings, is an all-around scoring threat who will be headed to Texas.

"I guess what I would say that sold me on Texas had to be Eddie [Reese] and Kris [Kubik], along with the great group of guys that the team has on its roster, and the tradition that the program carries of winning championships along with producing Olympians!" Darmody told Swimming World. "Also, it doesn't hurt to try and graduate from McCombs School of Business."

Darmody swims for SwimMAC and preps at Providence Senior High. He has a multitude of long course senior national cuts: 100m free 0:50.46; 200m free 1:50.17; 100m back 0:54.90; 200m back 2:01.88; 100m fly 0:54.65; 200m fly 2:00.10; 200m IM 2:06.47.

Five star Courtney Otto, who maintains her profile in the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings, is an all-around threat who will be headed to Harvard.

"The coaches, and the people at Harvard were amazing, and I felt like I fit right it from the moment I entered campus," Otto told Swimming World. "That, mixed in with the stellar academic reputation, made me feel as though I could reach my highest potential both in the pool and in the classroom."

Otto swims for Star Swimming and preps at West Seneca High. She owns several long course senior national cuts: 800m free 8:50.10; 200m fly 2:14.10; 200m IM 2:20.22; 400m IM 4:51.20.

Five star Chrissy Oberg, who maintains her profile in the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings, is a backstroker who will be headed to Vanderbilt.

Oberg swims for Swim Spartanburg and preps at Spartanburg High. She owns a pair of long course senior national cuts: 100m back 1:03.97; 200m back 2:16.60.

Five star Jacob Ritter, who maintains his profile in the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings, is a distance specialist who will be headed to Texas.

Ritter swims for the Houston Swim Club and preps at Bellaire High. He owns a pair of long course senior national cuts: 400m free 4:00.89; 1500m free 15:56.24.

Four star Harrison Brogden, who maintains his profile in the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings, is a backstroker from Western Guilford High, who is headed to Florida State.

Four star Courtney Ciardiello, who maintains her profile in the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings, is a backstroker from Rye High, who is headed to Princeton.

Four star Tripp Cooper, who maintains his profile in the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings, is a butterfly specialist from The Woodlands High, who is headed to Texas.

Four star Shannyn Hultin, who maintains her profile in the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings, is an IMer from Agoura High, who is headed to Arizona.

Four star Courtney Peters, who maintains her profile in the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings, is a butterfly specialist from North Paulding High, who is headed to Georgia.

Three star Elizabeth Freeman, who maintains her profile in the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings, is a butterfly specialist from Greater Atlanta Christian, who is headed to Vanderbilt.

Three star Rachel Kim, who maintains her profile in the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings, is a backstroker from Todd Beamer High, and has switched her commitment from Rutgers to Northwestern.

Three star Jacob Pearce, who maintains his profile in the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings, is a sprinter from Jenks High, who is headed to Virginia.

Three star Brooke Waugaman, who maintains her profile in the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings, is a backstroker from Hempfield Area High, who is headed to Pittsburgh.
