Anna Elendt went 2:24.63 in the 200m breaststroke to set her third German record of the week at the 2022 Pro Swim Series meet in San Antonio.

Elendt lowered the previous national record of 2:25.00 held by Jessica Steiger since the 2017 German Championships en-route to finishing second behind Lilly King who went 2:23.69.

The 20-year-old had already taken almost a second off her national 100br mark of 1:06.50 when she cracked 1:06 for the first time in 1:05.96 in the prelims.

The three-time 2018 European junior medallist was not done there though, further lowering her time to 1:05.58 in the final which would have secured last year’s European title.
