Anastasia Zueva Sets Russian Record in 50 Back

SAINT PETERSBURG, Russia, February 21. JUST two days after setting the European record in the 100 back and joining the sub-1:00 club in the event, Anastasia Zueva crushed her Russian record in the 50 back with a 28.26 at the Russian Open Championships.

The performance moved Zueva into the 10 all time, and ever-closer to Janine Pietsch's European record of 28.19. She also wasn't far off from the world record set by China's Yang Li with a 28.09 at the World Military Games last year.

Zueva's previous national record had stood at 28.66 from Russian Nationals last year.
