Amy Parratto Named New Hampshire Head Diving Coach

DURHAM, New Hampshire, October 23. AMY (Ayres) Parratto makes her return to the University of New Hampshire swimming and diving team after 18 years as head coach of diving program. Parratto is a 1983 graduate of Wellesley College with a B.A. in Psychology and Studio Art where she graduated cum laude. She was a five-time All-American for the Blue Pride and served as captain her junior and senior years.

Parratto began her coaching career directly after graduation in the fall of 1983, returning to her hometown of Cambridge, Massachusetts and assisting with her high school's swimming and diving team at Cambridge Rindge & Latin School. She was also an assistant coach for the John Walker's Divers, a U.S. Diving Club out of Harvard University. The following year she took a coaching position with the Seacoast Swimming Association in Dover, N.H. In 1985, Parratto founded Seacoast Diving, the only active U.S. Diving program in the state of New Hampshire.

Parratto got her first taste of collegiate coaching in 1988 when she was named head diving coach at UNH, where she coached for two seasons until 1990. Over the past 20 plus years, Parratto has developed numerous age group divers including top Regional, East National and National Junior Championship divers along with many high school champions.

She will continue to build the strong Wildcat diving program and secure a solid successful future. Parratto is the current Administrative Chair for New England Diving. Amy and husband Mike reside in Dover, N.H. with their daughters Melissa and Jessica.
