NEW COMMIT: Orinda, Calif. native Amelia Vollmar has announced her commitment to Chapman University and will suit up for the Panthers as a member of the class of 2025.

She told Swimming World:

“I’m so excited to announce my decision to swim at Chapman next year! Thank you to my family, friends, and coaches for helping me get to this point. Go Panthers!”

A versatile swimmer, Vollmar does her club swimming with Orinda Aquatics and most recently earned four best times at the Juanita Allington Memorial Meet. Last summer, she earned two lifetime bests at the WCAB Senior Meet.

Her best times include:

  • 50 free – 26.13
  • 100 breast – 1:12.20
  • 100 fly – 1:01.21
  • 200 IM – 2:21.09

Vollmar is currently a senior at Campolindo High School. She will be a valuable addition to Chapman’s lineup this fall as she would’ve placed 17th in the 100 breast at the 2020 SCIAC Championships where the Panthers finished third overall in the team standings under head coach Dennis Ploessel.
