Alex Walsh and Carson Foster Highlight Winter Junior Nationals East Psych Sheet

With the USA Winter Nationals behind us, the swimming world will shift its focus to the junior ranks with the Winter Junior Nationals set to go off on Wednesday. The meet will be split between west and east with the west meet taking place in Austin, Texas, while the east meet will be in Greensboro, North Carolina.

The east meet will feature junior team superstars Alex Walsh of Nashville Aquatic Club, and Carson Foster of Mason Manta Rays. Both swimmers are the top seeds in five different events with Walsh on top in the 200 IM, 100 breast, 100 back, 200 back and 200 breast. Walsh is also entered in the 50 free, 400 IM, 200 free and 100 free for a whopping total of nine events. Combined with relays, Walsh could be in for an exhausting program this weekend in Greensboro. Her club team is the top seed in all five relays this weekend.

Foster is the top seed in the 200 IM, 400 IM, 100 back, 200 back and 200 fly, and is not entered in any other events. His club team is the top seed in three of the five relays.

Both Walsh and Foster have an equally fast sibling with Gretchen Walsh taking the top seed in the sprint freestyle events, and Jake Foster taking the top seed in both breaststrokes.
