Louisville’s Nick Albiero and Virginia’s Noah Nichols shared Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Swimmer of the Week honors, while Pitt’s Dylan Reed and Virginia Tech’s Noah Zawadzki claimed Men’s Diver of the Week honors. Virginia’s Gretchen Walsh notched ACC Women’s Swimmer of the Week laurels, and Notre Dame’s Kelly Straub and Virginia Tech’s Teagan Moravek shared the Women’s Diver of the Week distinction.

Albiero won a pair of individual events and was part of two winning relay teams in the Cardinals’ dual win over arch-rival Kentucky in the Battle of the Bluegrass. A native of Louisville, Kentucky, he recorded NCAA B cuts to win both the 100 (45.88) and 200 (1:41.50) butterfly events. His 200 time is seventh fastest in the nation this season. Albiero was part of the 200 medley relay that won with an NCAA A-cut time of 1:23.90 and the 400 free relay team that touched first in an NCAA B time of 2:51.66.

Nichols swept the 100 and 200 breaststroke in two duals against ACC rivals last weekend. The Midlothian, Virginia, native recorded NCAA B cuts to win the 100 (53.22) and 200 (1:57.58) against North Carolina and followed it up the next day versus No. 3 NC State by taking the 100 (53.26) and 200 (1:56.68) once again. Nichols also was part of the Cavaliers’ winning 400 medley relay team (3:10.01) against UNC.

Reed won both springboard events in Pitt’s dual against Villanova. The native of McLean, Virginia, scored a career-high 364.50 in the 1-meter event and racked up a score of 391.35 to claim the 3-meter event.

Zawadzki earned ACC Diver of the Week honors for the second straight week. He won both springboard events in Virginia Tech’s dual with Penn State. The senior from Greensboro, North Carolina, scored a season-best 394.73 in the 1-meter event and 387.38 in the 3-meter.

Walsh won four individual events and was part of two relay wins in UVa’s dual wins over No. 24 North Carolina and No. 5 NC State over the weekend. The Nashville, Tennessee, native highlighted the NC State win with a blistering 23.04 leadoff swim in the 200 medley relay on Saturday, setting an American record in the 50 backstroke. The relay set a UVA pool record with its time of 1:33.74. Walsh also swam an NCAA A time (50.61) to win the 100 backstroke against NC State and won the 100 freestyle (48.05, NCAA B) by over two seconds. Walsh also won the 50 free (22.03) and 100 butterfly (52.43) against UNC, notching NCAA B times in both events.

Moravek swept the springboard competitions in the Hokies’ dual with Penn State. The Loveland, Ohio, native scored 308.03 to win the 1-meter and a season-best 358.88 to take the 3-meter event.

Straub won the 3-meter competition at the Tim Welsh Classic with a career-best score of 375.45 as she finished first of 12 in a field that also featured No. 9 Ohio State and No. 25 Akron.
