The ACC Men’s Championships are going to come down to the wire, with three teams in striking distance of the title. A relay DQ has NC State mired in third, but the Wolfpack typically finish meets strong. Louisville will have its work cut out to hold off the charge.

200 breaststroke

Evgenii Somov, fresh off a win in the 100 breast, may be the favorite. But the Louisville senior isn’t the top seed. That honor goes to Notre Dame’s Josh Bottelberghe by .07 seconds in 1:53.34. Pitt’s Cooper van der Laan is third with Caio Pumputis of Georgia Tech fourth.

In the team race, Somov is Louisville’s only rep in the A or B final. NC State is locked out of the A final with two B finalists.

There were some key DQs as Virginia’s Matthew Otto was called for a one hand touch as he would have been seeded seventh while Virginia Tech’s Keith Myburgh would have been in the B-Final.
