Abby Flood of Racer X Aquatics Lends Verbal Commitment to Rollins College

NEW COMMIT: Butterflyer Abby Flood of Mars, Pa. has announced her verbal commitment to Rollins College beginning in the fall of 2021.

She told Swimming World:

“I am extremely excited to announce my verbal commitment to swim and study at Rollins College! I am beyond grateful for all the support from my family, coach, friends, and teachers who helped me throughout this entire journey! Go Tars!!”

Flood, who swims year-round with Racer X Aquatics, most recently recorded six best times at the Allegheny Mountain Junior Olympics in March where she was the runner-up in the 200 fly. Last summer, she had five top-16 finishes at the TPIT Junior Olympic Championships en route to earning bronze in the 200m fly.

Her best times include:

  • 50 fly – 27.38
  • 100 fly – 59.52
  • 200 fly – 2:12.96
  • 50 free – 24.68
  • 100 free – 54.19

Also competing for Pine Richland High School, Flood competed at the WPIAL Championships during her freshman and sophomore seasons.

Under head coach Julianne Kurke-Lehner, the Tars finished third overall in the team standings at the 2020 Sunshine State Conference Championships.
