The second night of the 2019 NCAA Division I Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships will feature the finals of the 200 free relay, 500 free, 200 IM, 50 free and 400 medley relay as well as the 1m diving. Cal and Michigan are the top seeds in both relays as three Pac-12 swimmers are the top seeds in the three individual events.

Finals will begin at 6 p.m. EST.

Arizona State’s Cierra Runge is swimming in her first NCAAs since 2017 and is the top seed in the 500 as she will have her hands full with Stanford’s Brooke Forde, Minnesota’s Chantal Nack and Virginia’s Paige Madden. It is anyone’s race in the 500.

Stanford’s Ella Eastin is aiming for her third 200 IM title as she won in 2016 and 2018. She will also battle with Texas A&M senior Sydney Pickrem and Wisconsin junior Beata Nelson.

The 50 free American Record is up for grabs tonight with Cal junior Abbey Weitzeil on top of the heats with Tennessee junior Erika Brown in second. Weitzeil is the American Record holder at 21.12 as Brown set the NCAA record at 21.15 in February. Michigan’s Maggie MacNeil and Arkansas’ Anna Hopkin will also challenge for top three finishes.
