Canada’s Kylie Massie and China’s Xu Jiayu, both reigning gold medalists from Budapest, claimed top seeds in the 100 back events going into tonight’s semifinals. Both backstroke fields were filled to the brim with firepower that will be vying for top eight positions.

Breaststroke rivals Lilly King and Yulia Efimova began their dance towards the breaststroke podium with the 1-2 seeds going into the 100 breaststroke semifinals.

James Guy claimed the top seed in the men’s 200 free and is looking to get his 2015 title back after China’s Sun Yang won the title in 2017.
