The 2019 Canadian Swimming Trials entered its fourth day of competition on Saturday, but the times showed no signs of fatigue. The country’s top swimmers showcased their talents in a broad array of events, ranging from mid-distance free and butterfly to sprint breaststroke. Canada is quickly establishing its presence on the national stage, as its swimmers are sniffing world records and remain within striking distance of becoming an international swimming powerhouse.

The 200 freestyles highlighted the morning, as Angela Marina and Nicholas Bennett took their top seeds decisively, setting the tone for the rest of the preliminaries, reminiscent of a finals session in its energy.
