At the ongoing SEC media days, conference commissioner Greg Sankey revealed that next year’s SEC championships will air live on the SEC Network, according to Yahoo Sports’ Pat Forde.

In previous years, the SEC meet has streamed on SEC Network Plus followed by a highlight package for television, oftentimes separated out into women’s and men’s meets, even though the two genders compete together.

The SEC meet is the only conference championship to stretch for five days of racing. The 2018 edition of the meet will be held at Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.

Bout time. What’s the point of having conference-specific networks if they are just going to air reruns of football games from 6 years ago?
