It will be a busy weekend for the Atlantic Coast Conference, as all but one team is scheduled to compete. The Virginia women hold the top spot for the ACC with a No. 3 ranking in the nation, while the NC State men hold the No 8. position.

5 Top Storylines:

1. Due to the inclement weather last weekend, Virginia will travel to Chapel Hill this weekend to take on North Carolina and NC State in a double dual. The Wolfpack men are ranked No. 8, the Tar Heels are No. 19, and the Cavaliers remain No. 21. On the women’s side, Virginia sits at No. 3, NC State at No. 13, and North Carolina holds the No. 14 spot. Watch for some strong performances in the pool and on the boards from all three schools as these will be the teams to beat at ACCs.

2. After a three week break from competition, Florida State returns to the pool on Friday to take on Auburn and Wisconsin. The Auburn men are ranked No. 7 as the women hold the No. 9 spot, and both the Wisconsin men and women are ranked No. 17. Despite not being ranked in the most recent poll, the Seminoles, led by Jason McCormick and Megan Brown, will look to make a strong statement against these top-ranked teams.

3. The No. 10 Louisville men will take on No. 9 Indiana this weekend. Trevor Carroll was Louisville’s only triple event winner in their dual against Kentucky last weekend, but will face strong competition in Indiana’s middle distance depth. On the women’s side, the No. 10 Cardinals will look to hold off the No. 16 Hoosiers. Watch out for some close races in the women’s breaststroke events as Cardinal veteran Andrea Cottrell takes on Hoosier rookie Lily King.

4. After setting four meet records at the Dartmouth Invite last weekend, Boston College is set to race Providence on Friday and Boston on Saturday. Dan Kelly, who was part of two record-setting relays and broke two individual meet and pool records, will look to continue his success in the sprint events this weekend.

5. Georgia Tech is slated to compete against Division III Emory. The teams are evenly matched up, and relay points will be crucial as the two Atlanta schools fight for the win. Yellow Jacket diver Shannon Lumbra dominated both boards last weekend against Alabama, and will look to do the same this weekend.
