Skylar Knowlton, NH State Record Holder, Commits to Indiana

NEW COMMIT: Junior National qualifier Skylar Knowlton of East Kingston, New Hampshire, has pledged her verbal commitment to Indiana University beginning in Fall 2025.

She will join Colleen Bull and Luci Gutierrez in Bloomington as a member of the Hoosiers’ Class of 2029.

Regarding her commitment, she said:

“I am so excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic careers at Indiana University!! I want to thank my teammates, family, and coaches who have helped me in this process! GO HOOSIERS!!!”

Knowlton trains year-round with Phoenix Swimming and finished second in the 200 fly, third in the 500 free, fifth in the 200 free, seventh in the 100 fly, eighth in the 400 IM and 10th in the 200 back at New England Seniors in December. That was after she finaled in the 200 fly at Juniors East. She earned a pair of top-24 finishes at Junior Nationals last summer.

Her best times include:

  • 500 free – 4:46.86
  • 200 free – 1:48.43
  • 200 fly – 1:59.41
  • 100 free – 51.79
  • 100 fly – 55.44
  • 200 fly – 1:59.32
  • 100 free – 52.45
  • 200 back – 1:59.93

Currently a junior at St. Thomas Aquinas High School, Knowlton is the state record holder in the 200 free and 500 free with her times from her sophomore season at the New Hampshire Independent Schools Division II State Championships.

The Hoosiers are the defending Big Ten champions, having beaten Ohio State by a half-point this past season.
