NEW COMMIT: The University of Kentucky has scored a new verbal commitment for the 2021-22 season and beyond from Kaelan Daly of Hatfield, Pa.

She will join Maddie Welborn, Megan CiezczakAnnie GalvinEmma HermestonSydney Stricklin and Madeline Wenig as a member of the Wildcats’ class of 2025.

She told Swimming World:

“I am so excited to announce my commitment to study and swim at the University of Kentucky. Thank you to all of my family, friends, and coaches, whose support has helped me get here. I can’t wait to be a part of BBN and such an incredible team. GO CATS!!”

A versatile swimmer, Daly does her club swimming with North Penn Aquatic Club and placed ninth in the 200 IM and 10th in the 50 free at Middle SCY Atlantic Seniors in 2019. Last summer, she earned a pair of best times at Middle Atlantic LCM Seniors where her highest finish was a 14th-place showing in the 100m free.

Her best times include:

She is also a five-time PIAA District 01 Championship finalist.

She is also a member of North Penn’s three-time defending state champion water polo team, a Special Olympics team member, and a unified track team member. During her four years in Lexington, Daly hopes to pursue a biology major on a pre-medicine track.
