Los Angeles Releases 2024 Promotional Video
After losing Boston as the bid city for the 2024 Summer Olympics at the beginning of August, the U.S. Olympic Committee chose Los Angeles as the replacement bid city one month ago.
Since that announcement Los Angeles city officials have worked on proposals to build and refurbish many buildings in the city. One such proposal is to put a temporary pool inside of the soccer stadium, a project that would cost approximately $4.1 billion dollars.
The city of Los Angeles recently continued their journey as the U.S. bid city by releasing a promotional video for the city and the 2024 Summer Olympics.
The video highlights the diversity of the city referring to it as the “western capital of the U.S., the northern capital of Latin America, and the eastern capital of the Pacific Rim.” The promotional video is accompanied by the tag #ThisIsLA as part of their campaign.

Los Angeles is currently in the running against Paris, Hamburg, Rome and Budapest. With the bidding closing tomorrow all eyes are on Toronto to see if officials announce the city as an option for 2024. Officials will then travel to the different cities to make their assessments before announcing the host city in 2017.
