Amy Bilquist Clocks Lifetime Best 50 Free After Stress Fracture Rehab
Amy Bilquist of Carmel threw down a lifetime best in her first meet back since being sidelined by stress fractures in March according to the Indy Star’s David Woods.
Carmel clocked a winning time of 25.03 at the Indiana LSC Senior State Championships in Bloomington, Ind.
That swim cleared her previous record of 25.04 set at the 2014 Junior Pan Pacific Championships.

Bilquist had been a rising star heading into this summer after an amazing high school season for Carmel, but had to sit out the bulk of the summer taking care of some leg issues.

Anya Gonyers also had a strong swim as the 14-year-old’s second-place 25.54 puts her third all time in the 13-14 age division.
