International Swimming Festival, Aachen: Pieter Timmers, Sharon van Rouwendaal Double Up

AACHEN, Germany, October 16. THE International Swimming Festival came to a close with a third day of short course meter action.

Belgium's Pieter Timmers earned the men's 100 free title in 48.14, then doubled with a 1:46.75 to capture the men's 200 free. The Netherlands' Sharon van Rouwendaal hit the wall in 59.60 to win the women's 100 back, and also doubled up with a 1:57.40 to win the women's 200 free.

The Netherlands' Maud van der Meer claimed the women's 100 free in 54.60, while Belgium's Emmanuel Vanluchene posted a 53.28 to win the men's 100 back. Germany's Caroline Ruhnau topped the women's 100 breast in 1:09.02, while The Netherlands' Bram Dekker picked up the men's 100 breast title in 1:00.48.

The Netherlands' Kelly de Jong captured the women's 100 fly in 1:00.28, while The Netherlands' Jurjen Willemsen placed first in the men's 100 fly with a 53.41. The Netherlands' Wendy van den Zanden clocked a 2:12.71 to win the women's 200 IM, while Luxembourg's Raphael Stacchiotti took home the men's 200 IM title in 1:59.62.
