Inge Dekker Continues Dutch Exodus to France

MARSEILLE, France, September 17. JUST days after Femke Heemskerk announced that she's heading to Marseille, France, fellow Dutch sprint star Inge Dekker went public with her move to Marseille as well according to Zwemsite.

"Romain Barnier is a trainer with many innovative ideas," Dekker told the Dutch Swimming Federation in a translation. "Everything is perfectly arranged with his club. Strength-training and physical therapy there are well matched."

In a similar move as Heemskerk, Dekker will still represent her current coach Jacco Verhaeren at training camps and international meets. But, Dekker will be heading to Barnier's club, the home of Camille Lacourt, Fred Bousquet, Fabien Gilot, Roland Schoeman and William Meynard, for at least three months.

"If all goes well there," Dekker told the Dutch Swimming Federation in a translation. "I will be there for two years heading up to the London Olympics."
