The Morning Swim Show: Bob Bowman Talks About Michael Phelps’ Last-Second 100 Fly Win, Gives Advice to Coaches; Olympic Rewind With Janet Evans and Melissa Belote Ripley

PHOENIX, Arizona, August 16. NOT long after his star swimmer made history in the Water Cube, Bob Bowman does an interview for The Morning Swim Show to talk about the emotions following Michael Phelps' amazing 100 butterfly win and what the seven gold medals so far mean to him.

Bowman talks about his reaction to Phelps winning gold medal number seven and also gives some advice to coaches who potentially might have the next Michael Phelps: stay positive through all the ups and downs of the training cycle.

We have a double dose of Olympic champions in today's Olympic Rewind. First, Janet Evans talked to host Peter Busch about winning two gold medals in the 800 free in 1988 and 1992, and talks about setting the world record of 8:16.22, which was erased by Rebecca Adlington in the Olympic 800 free final. Finally, Melissa Belote Ripley returns to the show to talk about a funny story that took place before she swam to gold in the 200 backstroke at the 1972 Munich Olympics.
