Olympics, Diving: China 3-For-3 With Women's Tower Synchro Victory -- August 12, 2008
BEIJING, China, August 12. THE host country claimed its third gold medal is as many diving events with a triumph in the women's 10-meter platform event at the Olympics today.
China's team of Wang Xin and Chen Ruolin crushed the field with a top tally of 363.54 points. Australia's pair of Briony Cole and Melissa Wu picked up silver with 335.16 points, while Mexico's duo of Paola Espinosa and Tatiana Ortiz took bronze with 330.06 points.
The U.S. tandem of Marybeth Dunnichay and Haley Ishimatsu wound up fifth with 309.12 points.
