Zheng Wen Quah, 19, had an amazing meet at the Singapore Age Group Nationals this week, breaking a trio of Singapore national records.

Quah, who swims for the Swimfast Aquatic Club, became the first man from Singapore to break 50 seconds in the 100-meter free.  Quah clocked a 49.89 in the event, downing the 2013 record of 50.51 set by Danny Yeo at the Singapore Championships.

Quah also lowered his own 50-meter backstroke record with a 25.69. That swim cleared the 25.99 he clocked last year at the Commonwealth Games.

Additionally, Quah downed another of his backstroke marks with a 55.86 in the 100-meter back.

That swim cleared the 55.99 he set at the 2014 edition of these Singapore Age Group Championships.

The Singapore national record book is definitely the Joseph Schooling and Quah show with the duo now owning 10 of the 17 long course records.
