Wisconsin-Whitewater vs. Lawrence
APPLETON, Wisconsin, November 6. MEGAN Kraft led the Warhawk women's swim team to a 225-67 win at Lawrence University Saturday.
Kraft won three events. She was first in the 200 individual medley in 2:12.94, first in the 100 backstroke in 1:01.65, and first in the 200 backstroke in 2:11.22. Her time in the backstroke set the UW-W record, breaking the previous mark of 2:13.53 set by Courtney Jenkins February 13, 2010, and her performance in both backstrokes led 1-2-3 sweeps of the events for the Warhawks.
Three more Warhawks were two-time winners. Randi Osgood touched first in the 100 breaststroke (1:14.26) and the 100 butterfly (1:05.60). Lauren Lanphere the 200 butterfly (2:20.74) and 200 breaststroke (2:34.92). And Molly McElligot captured both diving events, scoring 210.0 on the one meter board and 182.25 on the three meter.
Katie Hausmann won the 50 freestyle (57.40) for the Warhawks, and Nicole Kohnke won the 100 freestyle (57.40).
Hausmann and Kohnke were joined by Megan Kohnke, and Kaitlyn Kincade on the winning 200 freestyle relay team (1:45.94).
UW-W will swim at UW-La Crosse November 20.
