Wisconsin Adds Verbal Commitments From Backstrokers Holly Stoll, Margaret Guanci
NEW COMMITS: The University of Wisconsin has received verbal commitments from backstrokers Holly Stoll and Margaret Guanci for the Class of 2022. They join sprint freestyler Lillie Hosack and versatile Alana Palmer. Palmer is also strongest in the backstroke events.
Holly Stoll
Hartland, Wisconsin’s Holly Stoll has chosen to stay in state for college. Stoll is a rising senior at Arrowhead High School and swims for Schroeder YMCA.
Stoll wrote in her announcement on Instagram,
“So humbled and excited to announce my verbal commitment to swim for the University of Wisconsin! Can’t wait to be a Badger”
Her top times are:

- 200 Back 1:59.57
Margaret Guanci
Margaret Guanci heads to Wisconsin from Riverwoods, Illinois where she trains with New Trier Swim Club and will be a senior at Loyola Academy. Guanci is a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American.
Guanci’s best times are:
- 50 Back 27.00
- 100 Back 55.93
- 200 Back 1:59.07
In her statement on CollegeSwimming she wrote,
“The first time I visited Wisconsin it was a cold day in January and no students were on campus. I still fell in love with the school and the city of Madison. Two more visits and I was ready to commit. I love the girls I met, the coaches and the team environment. Go Badgers! On Wisconsin!”
Her club and high school teammate, and fellow backstroker Shannon Kearney has verbally committed to NC State.
