Vinny Marciano First 12-And-Under to Break 25 in 50-Yard Back

PISCATAWAY, New Jersey, March 15. VINNY Marciano, a 12-year-old prodigy who swims for Morris County in Jersey, took down his second 11-12 U.S. National Age Group record in as many days at the New Jersey Swimming Junior Olympics.

Yesterday, Marciano popped a time of 52.47 in the 100-yard back to become the first 12-and-under to eclipse 53 seconds in that event.

Tonight, Marciano broke another barrier as he raced to a 24.61 in the 11-12 50-yard back finale. That performance lowered Destin Lasco’s record of 25.02 from earlier this year. Marciano also won the 100-yard free with a swift 48.62.
